At Esther Parrots Farm, we care deeply about the health and well-being of every bird we sell. We ensure that each bird is healthy, purebred, and ready for a loving home. Below are the details of our health guarantee and warranty.
1. Purebred Guarantee
We guarantee that your bird is purebred and comes with all necessary vaccinations and wormings as stated on the vaccination schedule, which you will receive alongside your bird.
2. Veterinary Examination & Health Guarantee
-
Veterinarian Examination: We strongly recommend that you have your bird examined by a licensed veterinarian of your choice within 48 hours of receiving your bird.
-
Health Defect Warranty: If your bird is found to have a life-threatening hereditary congenital defect or any major health issue during the examination, we will provide a full refund. To qualify for a refund, we must be notified within 48 hours of the exam, and the bird must be returned to us
3. Two-Year Health Warranty
-
Your bird is warranted for 2 years from the date of purchase against fatal and life-altering congenital diseases that adversely affect the health of the animal. This includes, but is not limited to:
-
Severe hip dysplasia that hampers movement and natural gait
-
Kidney, heart, pancreas, spine, and liver issues that are life-threatening or altering
-
-
If your bird dies within the two-year time frame, you must have a necropsy performed to determine the cause of death. The buyer will pay for the necropsy. If the cause is determined to be congenital, the breeder will issue a full refund.
-
If your bird shows signs of a defect within two years, you must notify the breeder within 2 business days of the diagnosis. We require two reports from two unassociated veterinarians confirming the same health issue before a full refund is provided. The bird must be returned to the breeder for the refund to be processed.
4. Return of bird for Health Defects
-
The breeder will not be responsible for any medical expenses incurred by the buyer, including those related to the congenital health defects covered by this warranty.
-
The bird must be returned in good condition (other than the specified health issue) to qualify for a refund.
-
No refunds will be given if the bird has been euthanized without the breeder’s permission.
5. Hypoglycemia Risk for Tiny birds
Tiny birds need to be fed frequently in small amounts to maintain proper blood sugar levels. A drop in blood sugar can lead to hypoglycemia, which can be fatal if not addressed promptly. We strongly advise monitoring your bird’s diet and feeding schedule to prevent this issue.
6. Returning a bird
If for any reason, the bird does not work out for you or your life circumstances change, and you are unable to provide a happy home for the bird, please contact us! We are always willing to take the bird back and secure a new, loving home for them.
At Esther Parrots Farm, we strive to ensure that both you and your new bird are happy and healthy. If you ever have concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
